Bow Finishing is a partnership between brothers Chris and John Bowling.

 

Chris studied Modern Fretted Instrument making at the London College of Furniture, and John Graphic Design at St. Martins and then Bath Academy of Art.

 

An opportunity to work together at a small Polyestering firm in Wandsworth presented itself in 1989. Blossom Reproductions was run by owner Clive Cherry, under whose guidance we spent several happy years working with guitars and car interior woodwork. 

 

The time spent at Blossom Reproductions taught us the diverse nature of the finishing business, and more importantly, the standard and quality of finish required. As our expertise increased, we soon realised that combining their talents was the best path forward.

 

Over 3 decases on, that decision to work together has been vindicated. Bow Finishing has adapted and improved, and now offers guitar repairs, custom finishing, graphics, set ups, and manufacture.
